A commemorative sign is installed on the corner of Nevsky Prospekt and Malaya Sadovaya Street, where a loudspeaker was located during the blockade, transmitting news from the front. The loudspeaker is depicted on a plaque to the Leningrad loudspeaker, a military-style horn loudspeaker is installed above.
The memorial sign was opened on May 8, 2002.
The project was proposed by a student of the history faculty of St. Petersburg State University K. Strakhov. Architect — A.P. Chernov.
