Location : ALEXANDROVSKY PARK

Saint Petersburg.

Along with the palace complex, an integral part of the Tsarskoye Selo imperial residence are parks, first of all, the main ones — Catherine and Alexander, received these names from the palaces located in them.

The large park, originally used for imperial hunting and called the Zoo, thanks to the care of the owners of Tsarskoye Selo in the late 18th — early 19th centuries, turned into a magnificent ensemble with park pavilions in the Chinese style during the reign of Catherine II — the Chinese village, Chinese bridges and the Chinese theater — and neo-Gothic buildings during the reign of Alexander I: White Tower, Arsenal, Chapelle, Pension stable, Imperial farm.

In August 2014, the museum «Russia in the Great War», dedicated to the First World War, was opened in the building of the Sovereign Military Chamber, on the border of the Alexander Park.
