A bust of V. M. Bekhterev is installed in front of the building of the institute founded by him, now bearing his name, on the street of the same name. In 1907, Bekhterev created a neuropsychiatric institute in St. Petersburg – the world’s first scientific center for the comprehensive study of man and the scientific development of psychology, psychiatry, neurology and other “human sciences” disciplines, organized as a research and higher educational institution.
