In this place in the XIX century the building of the District Court was built, built by V.I. Bazhenov. In February 1917, the District Court was burned down, for a long time the building stood there, recalling the time of the revolution. In 1931-1932, two administrative buildings were built here. House No. 4 was designed by A. I. Gegello, N. A. Trotsky and A. A. Ol. House No. 6 was designed by I.F. Bespaly. It housed the NKVD. The activity of this organization “Big House” is associated to this day.
