Since its founding in 2006, ART re.FLEX has entered the artistic life of St. Petersburg as one of the leading city galleries of contemporary art.
Located in the historical center of the city, not far from Nevsky Prospekt, the gallery has a two-story exhibition space and an adjacent courtyard, which allows for the full implementation of large-scale author’s projects.
Throughout its activities, the gallery’s exhibition policy is built on cooperation with authors who have already become classics of St. Petersburg art, leading representatives of Russian and Western modern art, as well as bright young artists. The curators of the exhibition projects of the gallery are well-known Russian and European experts in the field of visual arts.
The works of artists ART re.FLEX Gallery are regularly included in the long and short lists of Russian and international awards in the field of contemporary art.
Over time, expanding the circle of her acquaintances, the gallery began to collaborate with major city art events, such as the Cyberfest media art festival and the Bumfest international comic book festival.
ART re.FLEX was an active member of the Association of Actual Art Institutions of St. Petersburg, which existed from 2010 to 2013; took part in the ART Space Event, designed to attract the general public to contemporary art at a state platform in the center of Moscow.
Recently, ART re.FLEX Gallery pays special attention to working with European art institutions, contemporary art fairs, business structures, large public and urban spaces, expanding the circle of corporate and private collectors.
Since 2014, ART re.FLEX Gallery became a partner of the Italian ATRE LAGUNA PRIZE and held a personal exhibition of paintings by the final artist of 13.14, German artist Anna Bittersol.
In addition to projects in its own space, ART re.FLEX Gallery seeks to popularize contemporary art, realizing exhibitions not only in traditional exhibition halls. So, in 2014-2015, vernissages of gallery authors were held at the W St. Petersburg hotel, GREY’S bistro, Uralsib private bank, B5 business center and Gala sports club.
ART re.FLEX continues to expand the scope of its partners in Russia and around the world.
ART re.FLEX Gallery pays particular attention to educational activities, which include lectures, round tables and meetings with gallery artists.
